The war-time presidents Kallio, Ryti and Mannerheim all had very short terms. Kallio basically dropped dead from stress, Ryti was sentenced to prison in a kangaroo court, and Mannerheim fled to Switzerland.
What are Finns opinion on Mannerheim? I’m American so I have an outsiders opinion from reading about him but how do Finns feel about him as a leader? Is he seen as a defender of the early republic or as a Nazi Collaborator?
