If he wants to do it, just do it, don’t fuck about with ultimatums.
I’m sure the Tories would be delighted if he pulled the trigger.
I’ll make my own party… With Blackjack! And Hookers!
Infact forget the party.
Well. That would ensure the Tories keep their marginal seats and could save their majority by splitting the vote.
There is nothing in the article that says that Jeremy Corbyn is considering this.
The closest it gets is a bland assertion that people around him have suggested it.
A cynical person might suggest that stoking divisive tensions within the opposition during a period of unusually intense media scrutiny of the government could almost smack of ulterior motives.
For all that is wrong with Corbyn, even he knows that a second Labour would split the vote and under FPTP that means continued Tory rule.
Labour has to wake up to the fact that we **need** PR to get some democracy around here.
Go for it I say. Who knows it could do as well as Arthur Scargill’s Socialist Labour Party.
I think UKIP/BXP did as well as they did because historically there had been around 10% of the electorate for who Europe was a big issue, for everyone else if was NHS, education etc.
Perhaps finally the Neo-Coms will realise that the vast majority of people in the UK are Neo-Liberal (the other extreme will be the Neo-Cons). People want some socialist policies but also want capitalism.
