My pops did this when I asked if he was crazy he said it’s what my Mom asked for
She’s biding her time
My wife get nagging me for a particular necklace so I got her a Jodi Mitchell album.
She did find it funny and I gave her the necklace later on.
I was telling my husband that our Tefal frying pan was starting to stick. He said I will get you one for Christmas. I told him he will be needing an ambulance for Christmas if he got me that.
My partner bought me a cordless Dyson one mothers day…easily the best present I’ve ever had! We were watching this morning around valentines when someone was bitching about getting one and I said I’d love it, so mothers day He got it! He also got me an additionally telescopic pole with it in red (my favourite colour)….yes I am this sad!
God forbid that maybe she asked for one.
As a counterpoint, last year my sister in law returned all of her presents; yes, even the ones she a.sled for, and bought the vacuum she wanted… still loves it.
I got a Henry Hoover for Christmas, it’s great
Can anyone explain the joke/meme to me? I couldn’t understand the reference
Maybe because we’re gay so different dynamic, but I typically buy kitchen and cleaning gifts for my partner and he loves it. Last year got him a pasta maker and a new vacuum and he jumped up and down like a child opening a ps5
Those cordless ones are really expensive and work great. I’d love it if somebody got me a new as a gift.
Isn’t this kind of joke reinforcing gender stereotypes? Can’t adults just buy things that their partners asked for without being judged for it?
Looking at these comments I can’t help but feel like a lot of people have a lot more dramatic relationships than I do. If I receive something useful for Christmas that’s great, I’m happy, and my partner is the same. I can’t imagine being in a relationship where such a normal thing could result in such a volatile reaction.
