Have the names and addresses of the people who did this. Local Ukrainian/Russian/Poles in Drogheda. Should I bag it up and dump it back outside their house?

  3. Report it as fly-tipping to your local county council, if they’re not the correct people to report it to then I’m sure they’ll direct you to the right people.

  4. I was just going to suggest findings a receipt or letter on the pile but if you know who done it report it to the council or the Gaurds. A relative once had this issue and he found a bank statement in the pile. He reported it and drove into the house of the perp who subsequently was renting a house of him he had inherited off his father in law 😄.

  5. Local council will send out the Litter Warden, but there is limits to what fines can be issued for. As the dumping is taking place on your own property, it’s not covered under the legislation. Fines can only be issued if dumping takes place in a public place or somewhere visible from a public place. Regardless, I’m sure the council will want to follow up on how they are disposing of waste from the address.

  7. This is a huge problem around the town. I do see it everywhere when I’m out walking or on the bike. More so on the south side, the road down to the river/boardwalk from Rathmullen road has bags and bags of stuff dumped in the ditch there. There was even a fucking full skip bag left over Christmas.

  8. Report to Gardaí and also dump it in their garden with a letter informing that they’ve been reported and the other locals are aware of their behaviour. This might stop them in the short term before any fines ensue.

  9. I do be always amazed at this, all recoverable material but seriously who chucks out what looks like a fully functioning scissors.

    I’d drop it back, only thing is they will just make it someone else’s problem.

    Why dump at all, like if you really wanted to there are commercial bins dotted around the place you could easily put it into no one would be none the wiser either. Its just pure out and out lazyness.

    Even if your that badly fucking stuck, ask a friend or a neighbour can you use there bins as your having a hard time with money. Like you’d swear the way some people go on that getting rid of waste is a thousand euro yearly event that costs 50/60k, its at max 200/300 a year FFS.

  13. This is a strange post, anyone with a brain would know what to do, why even as here. It’s weird how it neatly presents all this evidence directly linked to foreigners and put on Reddit for the sole purpose of drumming up anger and stirring shit. The funny thing is Irish people themselves are the worst at throwing thrash around without a care and it should have been talked about long ago but hasn’t been, we should have zero tolerance for even minor rubbish… plus the fact there are other explanation if this whole thing is even real. Such as someone robbing them and throwing their shit around… but everyone just go ahead and not think about this logically.

  15. Almost all Russians here have jobs, as it’s a condition of staying in the country, which also enables them to afford waste services. Most Poles also work. The situation is different for Ukrainians…

  16. Gather it all up , wait for them to bring some more , build a decent size and then go to their address and give it back to them , dump it on their front door

  20. If it’s not offence on private land, could you just throw it all outside on public ground and then “find” the address and report it then.

This is a big problem around where we live as well, in Blanchardstown, not necessarily on private property but in and around the estates 😭 Nightmare walking the dog sometimes, trash and bones everywhere. Somebody hung a bag with a turkey carcass up on a tree, birds got at it, and now it’s all over the place.

  28. This happened to us a few years back. Brought the letters etc and photos to the litter warden. He said there was nothing he could do. I hope you have better luck with your litter warden. People who do this should be shot with balls of their own shite.

  29. I was in a car while a person in a different car fly tipped and my mate rang the gardaí and they were like “we’ll get back to you” he read out the reg and all and they never called or emailed or anything back.

    I think the council is just public but sure if there’s public property a few yards away I’d say you could just move it over a few feet and now it’s the council’s problem

  34. Contact the people involved, or put a note in their door, demanding that they come and clean it up or you will report them. Then report them anyway.

  37. I’m really cross about the amount of rubbish I see being dumped recently. If you can’t afford the collection but you can put it in you car and drive to the countryside then you can drive to the dump. 3€ entry if there even is a charge and recycling is free. Some will even take food scraps for free. If you have legit garbage after sorting your rubbish it’s 5e a black bag.
    And when all is said and done the lads taking money never seem to charge the full price because they’re sound.

  39. I’d bag it up ready then find a local farm with a slurry pit get myself a couple of buckets of there finest liquid crap and at around 3am when they are nice and asleep play the crap Santa and pour that shit through there letter box and all over the front door and windows
