Floodwater gushes through tunnel near Ebbsfleet as Eurostar services cancelled
This footage captures water gushing into a tunnel near Ebbsfleet International on Saturday (30 December), forcing Eurostar to cancel all services to France.
Heavy rain and strong winds are threatening to spoil people’s New Year plans.
No high-speed services are expected to run between Ebbsfleet International and London St Pancras International today because a tunnel under the Thames is flooded.
The flooding is also disrupting Southeastern Railway trains which run on the route, the operator said.
Thousands of passengers are currently stranded at St Pancras International while they await further information.

When you travel between England and France you need to take the train and plane and boat and the planes takes about 45 min and boat takes 1 hour and train for few hours
Theres nothing like removing a section of water pipe and opening the shut off valve to cause a problem eh? Floodwater… really?
Oh dear it's the End time's
Part and parcel of living in londistan
Sabotaging at its finest.
Pantomime
Bad design or people not doing the jobs right or a failure of materials
That's just a wee bit terrifying
Movie Daylight comes to mind!
Eurostar, glad they exited EU sooner
Looks more like bad maintenance than bad weather..
Not poor maintenance at all! Pipes spontaneously burst all the time!
Rishi should focus on rebuilding Britain
Opps…
That's why immigrants & illegals are using boats..ha
how do you design something so advance and cost so much yet you get a leak once a year! smh
Suspect it's a test to gather data in case of any threat.
Deliberately sabotaging things to push the climate agenda 👍🏼
1 part cement 2 parts sand and 2 parts aggregate should sort that out. Might take a few tonnes to block it properly.
It’s probably collapsing from the weight of all the boats travelling across from Calais
I thought the tunnel was underwater anyway?
Ebbsfleet is no where near the Euro Tunnel, this is just a small tunnle in the countryside. It's Not like it's the North Sea or Channel water gushing in, its just some ground water… !
Just like the fecal matter i am excreting as i type this
If this flood continues will submarines replace the trains ?
Be reyt. Only a bit of water.
The euro tunnel obviously suffers the same council service neglect like all the other flood damaged areas. Tax payers pay to have the drains cleared….so clear the drains civil servants and stop providing the Msm excuses of excess flooding caused by climate change.
They had this nearly twenty years ago when I went to Disney with my I.T. college group.
Only surprised Russia isn't getting the blame
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Probably just as well most of HS2 went on the back burner, if it's got any tunnels in it.
Looks more like a drain pipe connection through a concrete wall but without any puddle flange and sealing around. Where was the Clerk of Works? 😂
Wetbeds galore get the tamper out 😂
Good old British Engineering!!!..Used to be the best but now sloppy and shabby
