The house is so empty and quiet this evening. For a dog that weighed 4k and was 15 years old his personality took up the whole house… Happened so fast, 2 days ago we were at the beach fighting the winds and winning.. Yesterday he collapsed, brought him to vets when he was given morphine and brought him home for his last night before vets again today… RIP Fluffy Pants, thank you for the memories.. I’m truly grateful for the joy you brought to our family

  1. It’s a incredibly sad day to have to put a doggo down. Just remember that through their entire life they just wanted to make you happy and the joy that they brought can never ever be forgotten.

  2. So sorry for your loss. Had a similar loss earlier this year. It is very tough. I hope in time you will be able to look back fondly and smile. Take care.

  3. Sounds like your dog had a great life. And two days sick is a blessing, far better than watching him decline. Sorry for your loss. He looks like he was a very good boi.

  4. Sorry for your loss

The pain of losing a cherished dog is very hard to describe

When we lost ours, the below helped me a bit, I hope it helps you too

    > Grief is a bit like a ball that’s bouncing around within a box that also contains your heart.

    > At first, the ball is very big and any time it moves it touches your heart and causes you huge pain.

    > Over time, days and weeks, the ball becomes a little smaller and while it still moves around it might not bump into your heart every time. But when it does it hurts.

    > Eventually the ball will become small, no telling how long that will take.

    > When it’s small the ball will move around as it pleases and it won’t touch your heart all the time. But sometimes it will, and it will hurt just as much as it did the first time.

  5. I feel your pain, I had to have my dog put down this year. I miss the big eejit. I’m hoping to get another next year but I’m worried no dog will ever live up to him. So sorry for your loss.

  6. Very sorry for your loss. Such a beautiful doggo. He had a wonderful life with you I’m sure.

  7. Sorry for your loss, they really do become family and the joy of your dog nuzzling into you after a hard is priceless.

  8. So sorry for your loss. I’ve had to do this twice and wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. At least they had a good, long life with plenty of memories. All our days will come some day

  9. It’s a terrible thing to say at this time, but the only cure for the last one is the next one.

  10. My condolences. It’s always very hard to bury a friend, especially one you see every day. Remember the good times.

  11. I’m so sorry about the loss of your dog. You took care of him for many years and you done right by him up to the very end. You gave them the care they needed and brought them home for comfort before you had to say goodbye to them the next morning.

Cry and mourn as much as you need to! You will feel absolutely crushed for the coming days and weeks. It does get easier I promise but you will still miss them months and years from now. Cherish your photos and videos of them x

  12. So sorry for your loss. He looks like a beautiful little dog
