no no no, those are western actors, russia told me so
Woah, how many people are ready to change their lives
It’s definitely a bit iffy that Vučić’s party won more votes than 1 years ago despite ongoing problems.
And will anything happen?
In the east there seems to be a trend of a lot of protesting and corrupt officials going “and?”.
There must be at least 20 thousand people there…
Serbian Donald Trump wannabes.
If this was the GOP in America, or right-wingers in Europe or Brazil, this would be an insurrection.
I am completely pessimistic about these protests as well as seething with anger with the opposition, but hey never say never.
The ruling party controls most of the private media in Serbia, and its propaganda is quite strong. There were irregularities in the elections, but the opposition still does not have enough strength and popular support to come to power, no matter what they claim.
I hope they get exposed
Therw were about 8.000 protesters today. There is no back of the picture, that’s it. It’s about 0.001% of all voters in the country.
I can not see why you always connect Serbia with Russia. We never got anything good from them. We are more Europen than for ex. Greeks are (no offense). Majority of people wanted to join the EU, but when you keep someone in waiting room for more than a decade, it’s same like girl keep you hanging.. It’s obvious you’ll try to find new “partners” in meanwhile. All Serbian instititutions, taxation system, laws, regulations, military (yes, it’s at stage 3 of alignemt, next to entering NATO, but we don’t want to go in, because of policy of neutrality) are 99% in line with EU. And 87% of economy is going with EU countries.
There is rarely any nation which is happy wit it’s government. And it’s natural that changes are wanted. But, oposition didn’t offer anything, when I say anything, I mean ANYTHING beside “we hate Vucic”, no program, no plan, no tme period… I must add that every protest was silent, even when they were blocking main traffic squares (50-100 people in tents) in middle of tourist season, you can imagine how much traffic jam it caused, witbout intervention of police. Imagine something like that in Paris, Berlin or Rome.
Don’t make a fake big deal out of it. It’s absolute minority, which has right to protest. But if you protest, you need to put some proofs of whatever you are standing for.
not so popular as them populists thought, ain’t it?
How does this differ from the Trumpists who protested Biden’s presidency?
Or different from the #NotMyPresident rioters 4 years prior to that?
People love democracy, but only when they get it their way, otherwise they just riot.
It’s getting so tiring. We didn’t have any sort of stability in ages and are kinda stuck between the east and the west.
It is so demoralising having these maniacal autocratic leaders that will do anything to keep the power for themselves while making citizens poor and miserable.
Kudos to all protestors fighting for freedom and fair elections.
