  8. I believe many people realize it’s simply a bone thrown out of disgust by the Austrian government just to maintain a bit of reputation. A significant shame for the European Union and the Austrian government, and an even greater shame that we accept these bones thrown in disgust, pretending we got the whole piece. It’s also a shame that the European Union tolerates such abuse. Hopefully, the negotiations will still unlock, and we will enter the Schengen area properly. 🇷🇴

  16. I spit on austria and the EU, for not only accepting this but for even considering it, for not giving us a date on the land borders and for parading this as something good. I spit on our own EU puppet government for accepting this and lying that they won’t just a few days prior, next elections the ruling coalition can go to hell

    Yay, we won’t have to spend 40 seconds at passport control in the Varna airport then another minute and a half (accounting for queues) in the Eindhoven one. Amazing.

    Meanwhile, we’ll still have to sometimes wait for hours at land borders, and transport of goods will not get any more efficient, because “that would be too much for the peasants and they would swarm us with refugees and criminals” We’re not by the way.

    This “second-class Schengen” would be a blatant failure to make any progress. Any entity, be it the Austrian delegation, or our politicians in charge, attempting to present this as “progress” or a “step in the right direction” is being seriously disingenuous.

    Additionally, if we’ve accepted Austria’s absurd demands that needed to be met for them to allow this to happen, our leaders are doing a horrendous job

    And aditionally, if you swim all the way over the Danube up to Austria, there is no passport control either.
