Didnt request assistance ahead of time as required in T&Cs.
Pictue shows crutches, so its not as if he didnt have self assistance.
How else did he expect to get down stairs? Fly?
>But the airline said the request was made on the same day of his flight when 48 hours notice was needed.
Which is fairly standard across all airports and airlines, although some do say they can accomodate on the day subject to availability and planning, as staff at Fuerteventura did.
I would’ve thought organising ambilifts or gate changes, wheelchairs, escorts for him airside and transit through the airport would be quite a task and not as simple as it may sound, especially at the remote (home) airport.
Could he not have claimed on his travel insurance if he felt unable to make that flight or endure what he’s had to endure?
Man dosent do what he needs to do to get help, then does compo face in papers. Story as old as time.
Also he’s on crutches surly should be used to hopping ?
