Absolutely spot-on.
It’s good to see that Smith isn’t fucking around at all and continues to hammer out strong arguments—but it’s worrisome the number of right-wing judges there are who could give a damn about the Constitution or democracy.
It’s a slippery slope that both sides of the aisle could abuse at any moment in the future. Nip it in the butt and stop this now to save future generations.
That and thirty other things he’s done.
Don’t threaten SCOTUS with a good time
Even if the SC decides presidents are immune to prosecution of their crimes while in office, we all know Biden won’t take advantage of that to keep the traitor out of office should Trump win. It’s like… both the GOP leaders and the voters have no qualms with rejecting their own country’s laws and constitution while Dems will allow the destruction just so they can say they didn’t participate in it.
The only way we come out of this still a first world country is if democrats win this particular round and can legislate the guard rails we’ve only recently discovered we needed. Otherwise? We’re all fucked.
We don’t elect kings.
Gotta give them some credit. It’s gotten all the way to this point. Delays, belligerence, gaslighting, lies, bravado, ignoring the law and the norms of govt. All in the name of Jesus, babies, and guns. And strong does of racism. And now the court is stacked with grifting right wing religious psychopaths who could literally rule for a dictatorship. Not a real surprise that this ruling will happen as Trump and the regime who started it all have a real chance to be in charge of the military and DoJ by this time next year. Biden and the D-crew won’t have the stomach, support or political capital to stop them. I hope I’m wrong.
If Trump is immune, then so is Biden.
If anything goes, Americans will do anything. Just once
Outside the Supreme Court, the words “Equal Treatment Under Law”. What is to interpret?
Yes yeah yeup
Threaten to undermine democrats … there, fixed it for you
Imagine America saying, We’re just fine with a lawless president from any party.
Or it means Biden can block Trump or anyone from taking over presidency no…
From Jack Smith’s filing, about Trump’s request for immunity:
> That approach would grant immunity from criminal prosecution to a President who accepts a bribe in exchange for directing a lucrative government contract to the payer; a President who instructs the FBI Director to plant incriminating evidence on a political enemy; a President who orders the National Guard to murder his most prominent critics; **or a President who sells nuclear secrets to a foreign adversary**
(Highlight my own)
Funny that he included that last example. Could just be he chose it at random, but Mr. Smith seems like the type of person who chooses their words very carefully.
Typically you give examples in threes. Adding a fourth seems rather pointed.

Well, yeah. That’s kinda Desperate Donnie’s whole thing.
And Pardons??? Why is a President above the law and allowed to decide if someone can be spared from jail? Very undemocratic.
If Trump has immunity then so does Biden. So, go fucking nuts in there Joe!
Get him Jack !
Why hasn’t Jack Smith filed insurrection charges on Trump yet?
he has a weird way of spelling “guarantees”
Being immune from the law makes it a monarchy.
I can’t believe this is even being questioned.
No one is above the law case closed. These appeals should be summarily dismissed.
Can we put all Trump news in a Trump mega group? I miss hearing about other things that our country is doing.
