  1. Basically it’s a consumerism index. From the same web site https://www.visualcapitalist.com/visualizing-u-s-gdp-by-industry-in-2023/#:~:text=Service%2Dbased%20industries%2C%20including%20professional,construction%20play%20a%20smaller%20role.

A lot of that US GDP is fuelled by the cost of professional and business service, expensive rents and loans, education and health care expenses (debts).

    >In comparison, goods-producing industries like agriculture, manufacturing, mining, and construction play a smaller role.

Of course, the costs of the workers in these sectors of economy are much fewer than the money of business service, which is pumping US GDP up while the wealth inequality increases more and more.

  2. When filthy rich USA can’t give its citizens free education and healthcare something is very wrong over there.

  3. Lol Russia is poorer than Italy despite having 3x higher population.

  4. lol Germany’s GDP is slightly higher than India despite India’s population being 1.4 billion and Germany’s being 80 million. Basically 1 German = 17.5 Indians! Crazy!

Who would you rather fight: 1 German sized German or 17.5 Indian sized Indians?

  5. Now I understand why Iceland was not included in this circle, Iceland’s GDP is far from that of the other Nordic countries.

  6. Makes sense China is such a big part after all our industries were allowed and did move their factories into the country and transfered all their tech etc. so the rich people could get richer by paying chinese people lesser wages and not modernize their factories to keep up with environmental laws in Europe

Spineless Politicians who fuck not only us now, but also our world by their pathethicness

  7. Am I missing something or is the GDP of Bangladesh bigger than Denmark or Finland?

  8. China is at most half that based on recent calculations.

  9. In 10 years Europe is going to be one quarter smaller on this chart.

  10. They should begin grouping Russia with Asia rather than Europe. Their economy resembles a Eurasian one like Kazakhstan more.

  11. The Nordic countries could be a decently big power if we united

  12. It’s hard, really hard. To imagine how an island like Japan is … so dominant on that map. Considering it’s size and the fact that, unlike the bri’ish, they never had a real empire.

Like, Taiwan is a small island. Leading one of the most important induestries in the modern world. And you can barely make it out. Which feels more right.

    Japan is just huge.

And Japan royally fucked it’s economy like 30-40 years ago. Imagine if it hadn’t.

  13. How has Britain got a larger Gdp than France yet we are all poor as fuck, you should see the state of our roads 😂

  14. 1.5 billion Indians with an average age of 28 (I guess) still can’t outproduce 80 million geriatric and overweight Germans. How are these nations so full of themselves when all they do is having a lot of (lazy) children

  15. Japan and Korea are both lower than I thought, Japan especially.

Japan has like 3.5x the population of Canada, but only 2x the GDP. As a Canadian who’s visited Japan a lot, it never seemed like Japan could be that much less wealthy than Canada.

  16. Why Is Puerto Rico Separate? It’s A Territory Of The US
