Kein Anzeichen dafür, dass Houthis Angriffe im Roten Meer stoppen werden, sagen die USA

  1. Why would they? It doesn’t cost much to make drones. Even without causing any damage, the hassle it’s giving the global economy is worth it.

  2. Maybe, and hear me out, it’s time for some anti-war, diplomatic, peaceful rhetoric from the west.

  3. I dont think the not getting involved thing is working very well.

  4. Could it be the time to do something about the actual people responsible? Sitting in Iran having a laugh while torturing and hanging thousands of secular Iranians wanting to just be free?

  5. So, it seems like there will be fewer attacks by Houthi rebels if there are fewer Houthi rebels.

  6. No sign the US will halt arms exports to Israel, says the Houthi

  7. I’m too lazy to Google the cost of houthi missiles and drones versus the cost of shooting them down. Anyone got any quick numbers?

I guess what I’m curious about is who has deeper pockets and who is more committed to their cause?

Edit: how am I getting downvoted for asking a question? Tf is wrong with you all?

  8. Then just kill them. People have a right to defend themselves.

  9. The whole purpose of Houthi shenanigans is to try and get more countries directly involved In a shooting war in the region. Egypt is a prime target , Red Sea Suez Canal major regional power etc .
But they aren’t biting and want nothing to do with another bruising conflict. Hezbollah in Lebanon is always ready to party but early in this bun fight the US carrier groups arrived in the Med with a message . ‘ cross the border in any force and you become a crater .

  10. It’s not like there’s a downside to attacking shipping. Somalis have been doing it for decades.

  11. Welp, seems like it’s time to step up the war crimes in Yemen.

  12. Start raining missiles and bombs wherever they are, then see what they say in a week. Come on, USA, this is what you are good at.

  13. Tell Saudi Arabia to pay off the 23trillion debt and we make Yemen part of Saudi Arabia and lay the place out.

  14. People aren’t going to like it but for once I think the U.S. is looking to make other nations pick up the slack on defending their own shipping corridors.

  15. Biden and Sullivan have shown enormous weakness between Ukraine and the Red Sea.

Why does the US have all this combat capability and not use it?

Flatten the houthis, assassinate the iranian regime, sink the black sea fleet… all of this should be a relatively simple fix for many of the world’s problems.

  16. Iran is begging for Operation Praying Mantis: Part Two.

  17. There is no sign that America and apartheid Israel will stop murdering innocent civilians either.

  18. The whole world is turning into a shit show. The Houthis should be blown to their god if they want. But anyone that intervenes there may have to take on the problem that is Yemen. How many more refugee crisis can the planet handle before we all kill each other or stfu and get along?

  19. Ok, so we need to send in maverick and destroy their capability of attacking ships.

  20. Of course they won’t. The Houthis have learned that there are no consequences for their war crimes and terrorist attacks, so they will do more of it now.

  21. Wait, the Houthis are blowing up the blowfish? Darius is off on that solo career and look what happens! Seriously tho, there is little downside here as they were already getting hammered by Saudi and I bet Iran is calling in favors from people who are used to taking a hit. Not sure they know how much harder we hit but who knows.

On the plus side, all of this dictator/extremist aggression is helping a bit to suppress the utterly deluded but popular isolationists.

  22. It seems the strategy is too shoot down what they send hoping they eventually run out. We need to annihilate them. We have 2 carrier groups, F-22’, F-35’ B-2, B-52 and A-10’s. There is no excuse for not hitting them hard and the same goes with the ones in Syria and Iraq.

  23. It’s puzzling how each new generation forgets the previous generations dealing with Islam. The Houthi’s could care less if they die that’s a one way trip to Allah all pass paid. When Iran’s quote moderate leader (our man) was running against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad he said Iran only needs one bomb to deal with the Jewish problem. That was the moderate who lost.

Let’s go back to Thomas Jefferson 1788 and his dealing with the Barbary states.

“Over the previous fifteen years, as a diplomat and then as secretary of state, Jefferson had tried to work with the Barbary states (Tripoli, Tunis, Algiers, and Morocco). Unfortunately, he found it impossible to negotiate with people who believed their religion justified the plunder and enslavement of non-Muslims.”

Notice that quote “he found it impossible to negotiate with people who believed their religion justified the plunder and enslavement of non-Muslims”.

Nothings changed in over 200 years I wouldn’t blame Israel if they ran them out of Gaza into Egypt.

  24. Everytime they launch a missile or drone destroy 10 square miles centered around the launch site. Do that every time. Eventually it’ll stop.

  25. Why are they doing this again? Because *gestures broadly* … Israel and pirates?

  26. Wasn’t long ago that Reddit was cheering on the poor Houthis in the Yemen civil war.

  27. Sounds like it’s time for a little Shock and Awe: Part Deux

  28. These attacks will cause increased prices around the globe. Finish them like Israel is doing to Hamas. Many of the hostages released said that almost all Palestinians are part of Hamas. Men ,women, and children. They said they are pure evil.

  29. If I were a Houthi “rebel” responsible for launching these attacks on innocent civilian targets, I’d be very, very careful right now about:
    – using my mobile phone
    – using my sat phone
    – using my landline phone
    – using any kind of radio transmitter
    – wearing my “smart” watch
    – turning on my “smart” TV
    – using my email
    – using an “encrypted” messaging app
    – using any social media of any kind
    – telling anyone what I’ve been up to
    – driving my car
    – traveling towards or near the launch points
    – being near a launch site while carrying my mobile or sat phone
    – being near a launch site during the day
    – being near a launch site at night
    – going outside during the day
    – going outside at night
    – answering my door

These guys are being watched. Closely. Very, very closely.

And at a time and place not of their choosing, their involvement with this activity will be abruptly terminated.

  30. IF they hit a US ship by mistake, im sure there will be some freedom coming their way.

  31. No shit. Signs point to escalation. This right now is just harassment to disrupt supply chains, the retaliation will be propagandized to fuel a larger regional war.

  32. they said as long the offenseive on gaza is on they wont stop attacking ishraell related ships. pretty fair to be fair

  33. I think we should have our own three day incursion, except we actually leave in three days. Destroy everything we can from a distance in three days and just leave. We don’t need the territory. We just need a change in leadership.
