A Simple Lamb Stew

After the excesses of the past week. Tonight’s dinner was a simple lamb stew.

I browned the lamb and along with a smoke back rasher, then added sliced onion, a few garlic cloves, a few chilli flakes, smoked paprika and a little mixed spice. I added the Knorr Veg stock cube and deglazed with a good splash of white wine and 2 glasses of water.

I simmered it on the stovetop for about an hour and quarter. Then I added about half a bag of Dunnes Stores soup mix without the barley and lentils and topped with Roosters and cooked until ready.

It was delicious too.

  1. Not nearly enough seasoning. White hands took this photo

  2. That is one seriously tasty looking bit of scram 😋
….what would be your preferred type of bread to accompany this culinary delight?…bearing in mind there MUST be bread!!!

  3. That’s half a portion. Any real Irish stew needs to be a savage feed no mather how much paprika ya put adin in it.

  4. Looks very nice. I’d leave the skin on the spuds depending on what ones were used though thats personal preference.
