It was a Newcastle player if the Twitter rumour mill is to be believed
Chances of it being a United or city player are slim to none if it happened in London. United played on the 9th in Manchester and city played on the 10th doubt they’ll be getting pissed the night before a game.
Roll up Roll up, it’s time for another episode of ‘Guess which premier league footballer did this crime’
Now with the new refreshing story line of ‘racist abuse’ after last year’s hugely successful sexual abuse bonanza
He’s how old? Plays international football? Injured last month?
Place your bets, who could it be?
Nobody knows which player it is, and using racial abuse as a means to score “moral” points against other teams is pathetic.
That said, I bet they play for Spurs! (/s)

If it’s a Newcastle player my money is on Bruno guimaraes
Ross Barkley?
Plot twist- it was Sterling.
If it was the early hours of the 10th, and we’re assuming (not a guarantee, but very unlikely) no players would go out and get pissed the day before a match, then it was probably a team who played on the 9th. Only London-based game that day was Crystal Palace v Liverpool.
Using my very, very amateur detective skills, my money would be on a Crystal Palace player.
Definitely a Chelsea player.
Please be McTominay or Antony
Anthony Gordon I’ve heard.
Definitely a Liverpool player
Romero definitely
All this stressing about who it is, watch it go be some unknown bum from the U18’s whose been benchwarming all season with 0 minutes
please be eric dier /s
Probably not white
“Do you know who I f***ing am?” – must be someone from a team that has an identity crisis, guy doesn’t even know who he is.
Chelsea players finally giving their supporters a reason to cheer.
Which South American players are out of their London team?
Have Liverpool signed Suarez again?
James Maddison

I need you to tell me what’s wrong with this without me explaining it.
That’s a tough situation. Hopefully, he’ll learn from this and grow into a better person. Did you know that some Premier League players have interesting hobbies off the pitch? For example, a few are talented musicians or even own their own fashion labels.
The speculation is more exciting than the story
It happened on the morning of the 10th. I would look at who played on the 9th. I can’t imagine a player would go on the lash the night/morning before a match.
I can’t imagine it was an English player saying that. That’s more cultural like Italy or Spain etc.
Doesn’t have to be a white player. Plenty of black players throw that word around.
Arsenal lost to Villa that evening. Arsenal player returned to London. Upset over the loss went out and got pissed.
The player turned up “agitated ” which tracks with just losing a huge match when you’re trying to stay top of the table
Of course, all of that it could be completely wrong. It’s fun to play Sherlock Holmes though
People saying Trippier are daft, why would he 1) be drunk the night before a match (and still be played) and 2) be staying at some apartments rather than a hotel with the rest of the squad.
It’s likely some reserve from a London club, the papers always use the word “Star” because it’s an opinion rather than a fact and they can’t be called out for lying
No need to speculate til we know, eh? There are easier dopamine hits available, without tarnishing innocent peoples/clubs names.
It was Eddie Howe. Seems nice but he’s a virulent racist.
