Me and my neighbors are deeply concerned about hunting next to the houses. We simply don’t feel safe while walking in area, as sometimes they shoot birds and foxes within 50-100 meters from houses. I understand why it happens. Hunters see “green zone” in Artemis app and don’t bother with other regulations. However, even this app says the green zones isn’t ultimatively allowed for hunting and hunters must maintain safe distance from built up areas. It’s 500m from groups of houses and 200m from isolated housholds. Moreover, Artemis shows a huge part of our village as allowed for hunting. Even the football stadium!
In fact this area not only covers side of the village but also many isolated houses, farms and fenced areas, so there is almost no place where it’s legal to hunt according to distance rules.
I have tried to contact hunting patrol devision, police (most useless) and even “Wildlife thyra” with zero rezult. Email with most detailed explanation, maps and screenshot were sent to wildlife thyra in beginning of November and still no reply.
Is there any other legal way to change the situation?

  1. I don’t think there is anything you can do here to legally change the situation, apart from moving

  2. Start to write letters of complaint first to the local village council and escalate it to the members of Parliament. We live in a democracy so laws change. The more people sign the better. Although it can go both ways if the hunters have more numbers.
