Base commander should be fired for not ensuring adequate air defenses.
To all the down voters who don’t know how this works, the base commander is ultimately responsible for the safety of the troops at that base. He/she is responsible for making sure appropriate hardware is in place to protect the folks living there.
This is a totally separate from the overall flaccid response the President has taken with responding and preventing the attacks in the first place.
Drones, rockets, whatever should never be landing within the compound. These threats can be neutralized without starting a regional war or whatever the excuse is for not intercepting these things.
Seems like the rebels will get a big new years firework today.
The restraint the US is showing atm is honestly surprising me. They sound be well within their rights to hammer the houthis and even strike Iran.
If only we had some sort of deal with Iran that we could…you know threaten…or use to try and change their behaviour by…giving them a reason or a motive to not behave like cu×nts. Oh well..
