Use to hate it always admired it and wanted to like it. Tried a half pint on my stag a locka years back when I was already well lit and put myself off a hit. Got 4 tins the other day first couple was rough, got myself another lock today and actually enjoy it. Not the biggest drinker but always wanted to like it, and I do now. Think I’ve done alright for a home pour. Tagged as discussion for use can give me a hounding for the pour, its my 6th tin pour bare in mind and best to date hence taking the picture lol.

  3. I’m not big on the beer anymore but sometimes I like just grabbing a can of each stout I can find and doing a taste test.

  5. I’m on a good milk stout from a Bristol brewery tonight. It’s fucking delicious, shame the corner shop only had 2 cans of it left.

    Will definitely be up for having a look at the options available next time I’m back home in NI.

  9. The first Guinness on a day out always hits for me. For some reason after that it’s diminishing returns with every pint 😭

  10. Liking the Brewdog black heart at home recently. Guinness is of course better on draught.

  11. Maybe just the angle or your camera settings, but that’s not Stout, it’s Obese.

  12. When I visit my English in laws, their friends sometimes don’t ask me what I want to drink, they just buy me Guinness. I either throw in it their presumptuous colonial faces or drink it quietly without complaint. Exclusively the latter to date, they just bought me a pint after all. Still haven’t acquired the taste.

  13. I still remember my first night out on the Guinness. I was 18, black puked everywhere but that was me sold. I soon learned to limit it to a few pints on a night out, then move onto something else.
