  1. If fiscal transparency is so scary to you that you feel you need to resign, you may not have been fit for public service to begin with

  2. If you’re honest, whats the problem? Oh… you’re in public service? Yeah… that means MORE honest than other people because you’re setting the example. What? You’d rather resign? Oh….. I see….

  3. Does City (State) have some kind of probable cause they wish to invoke here? Why does net worth have anything to do with employment?

I suspect 4th amendment issues in requiring disclosure.

Meanwhile I find it humorous that the same people pushing this requirement were fighting against requiring Trump release his tax returns.

  4. Maybe all politicians and elected officials should have to file these.

  5. Well isn’t this just going to make more people to do fuzzy math via shell companies and trusts to hide their money behind , not really impacting the poor or middle, but Giving more money and power to corporations that can do said hiding

  6. They have just admitted to being corrupt and should be investigated. You know everyone of them is doing illegal stuff.

  7. Is it the law’s contention that the less a politician is worth, the more trustworthy he or she is (or vice versa)?

  8. Does this new law include appointed officials as well? Such as the CFTOB?

  9. Eh, not so much: “She called Florida “a leader of transparency”.

  10. This should be law everywhere. We might actually get some good people in charge.
