The minister of nature Henning-Kloska, who not that long ago has been accused of creating a lobbyist-favoring (most publicists called it German lobbying) legal act that included more lenient regulations of wind power plants, announced that she’s working on creating new National Parks. Adam Rudawski (voivode of Zachodniopomorskie voivodeship) confirms that one of those new parks is the National Park of the southern Oder river. As a result we won’t be able to improve the navigability of the Oder river and cargo ships might not even be allowed to swim through that region, locking the Świnoujście port from much needed supplies and further development. In case of further Russian invasion – western Polish rivers have a strategical value too. Hopefully it won’t happen, but considering the fact that US congress is blocking the funding bill for Ukraine, we should be prepared for the worst. It’s important to notice that the port in Świnoujście has lately overtook the port in Hamburg as it’s conditions are more favorable for ships! Polish port is receiving the money that Germans would love to take away from it. I hope that the minister will listen to the critique again and back away from this project. What do you think about it?
