Becuase without those 3m+ women and children, Ukraine dies a death of demographics anyway and it was all for nothing.
The debate around it is going to be interesting.
So many sob stories in the paper of Wayne and Olga who got together, and are now in love, blah blah.

A Ukrainian girl moved into the flat above mine. She’s pretty cool. Got a job and taking classes at uni. Me and the mates are taking her out on the piss tonight
The provision made for Ukrainians has revealed a hypocrisy in our stance and limited commitment towards refugees generally (including those we owe more to due to us being casually linked to their plight).
We may not want to recognise it, but the discrimination has never been more plain.
