  11. I applaud them, but the entire east coast didn’t get that performance. We got 2 songs, Basketcase and Welcome to Paradise.

  16. Green Day got banned from playing Gilman Street because they signed to a major label. The truth is that Lookout Records told them to look for a major label because they knew they couldn’t support the band properly.

    Years later the venue on Gilman Street threw a fundraiser for a family who lost their home in a fire. Green Day showed up and played.

    Green Day are the band that people who don’t know punk will always call “sell outs”, they’re the band that punk gatekeepers will always sneer at and they’re the band every kid who grew up loving punk will always love.

  21. Just play your awesome music and leave your political views at home ! I love Green Day but I can’t stand it when celebrities use their platform and influence to promote their political beliefs. Just do what you do best and drop the other crap.
