Environment: General distribution of postal ads to be prohibited

  1. I’m split.

I often let all the shite pile up in my mailbox before binning, but also, you get some real nuggets about local businesses or events you had no idea about.

I think it’d also be useful to have what languages you speak on your mailbox, as there’s far more wasted paper from me trashing German and Luxembourgish magazines I can’t read.

Edit: to add that I always recycle. I don’t put paper in the bin. But it’s still creating a larger carbon footprint than necessary

  2. Does that also count for real estate agencies and fortune tellers?? Those fuckers don’t seem to understand “KENG REKLAMME W.E.G.”

  3. Good move. Not the change because I already have the yellow sticker. But there will be a fine attached to it while today there is none.

  4. tl;dr:
    > A new bill could regulate that people will have to indicate they do want ads, rather than having to indicate the opposite.

  5. The idea is goof but goddamn that implementation. There are so many exemptions that it won’t change a thing.

Cactus can no longer distribute a flyer with ads BUT is still allowed to distribute magazines containning ads. So they’ll just add a couplecof articles and tada…. Not an ad anymore

  6. For the moment i get 3 diffrent Stacks of “pub” here in the City. 2 Times that comes with the mailman (IMail the one in Plastic) and one time sunday by a nice Lady in here own car. For the moment they look for the PAS DE PUBLICITÉ Sticker and give it to you or not.

Problem i have is with that new law you must register with Name and Address to get the Mail you want but no one can say who can look into this. Who controls this?
I don’t even know for what Company that nice Lady in here car works.

The System right now works why the change ? Newer letterboxes have a PAS DE PUBLICITÉ that you can turn around if you don’t want any.

    Sorry for the potato english

  7. I personally hate the bombardment of commercials one receives daily… At least all that paper-waste will be finished.
