Can’t speak on whether this is a good idea or not. I absolutely loved Phillips at Leeds under Bielsa. He was such a complete player. Unfortunately, he had a much harder time fitting in Pep’s Manchester City (his weight gain didn’t help). A short loan to regain his footing while Moscardo recovers from surgery would be a safe move, however.
Edit: In addition, it’s quite difficult to drag English players out of the Premier League and into Ligue 1. Especially against Newcastle or teams also cited as destinations such as Liverpool, Juventus, and Bayern Munich.
nah knowing city he’s gonna cost too much for a player whose been on the bench for 2 years
he is a class player but he was never gonna start over rodri. philips will shine in almost any team that needs a midfielder of his quality. a loan plus option to buy doesn’t sound too bad
