    The Russians could spy on air defense positions and #NATO military bases. Until recently, the German Patriot air defense system was on duty in the Zamosc area in eastern Poland, where the missile probably fell, and the American airborne division is based nearby.

  4. As the flight path is pre programmed, that’s fairly obvious. It’s not as if NATO is going to do anything about it anyway, and it helped the missile avoid Ukraine’s air defence.

  7. Some of you have to slow down and understand how Article 5 works.

    The first step is Article 4 , that **Poland has to ask for**…. which is a meeting of the NATO command.

    The second step, and again **Poland has to initiate** it, is a declaration of Art 5.

    Article 5 is not some magic thing that happens immediately if one is attacked.

    **Obviously Poland has NOT asked for Article 5.**

    It is likely also aimed at getting Ukraine to fire air defence missiles towards Poland – I mean what choice will they have if russia continues to use NATO air space to attack Ukrainian cities?

    So it is not just about whether or how NATO should respond to the provocation – it’s also about how Ukraine will be forced to respond to protect its people.

    And I am sure that damage to Poland is exactly what russia wants to happen because it could quickly cause friction and discord amongst Ukraine and its allies. So it would not surprise me if that is included in russia’s calculation and provocation. They will do everything that they can to fracture support for Ukraine.

    Does anyone really want Ukraine to need to aim its air defence towards Poland?

    SO. Nato does need to decide what to do. And yes. It has to do something. The best choices maybe to either intercept missiles in Polish air space OR allow Ukraine to use western weapons to destroy aircraft inside russia – otherwise they will continue to use NATO airspace to attack Ukraine. It’s already not the first time they have done this.

They done it because they know most NATO countries are pussies and won’t do anything, Poland should have shot them down the first time it happened instead they done nothing and now act surprised that russia doesn’t give a fuck, same with Romania, defending your territory is not an act of war so there is absolutely no excuse for any NATO member not to respond accordingly to territorial violations.

  11. Every time this happens, Ukraine gets a Tomahawk and no restrictions on where to send it.
