I’m from a tropical country and have barely experienced any snow. I’m planning a 8-days trip to Helsinki and Lapland around mid March. I don’t have any proper winter clothes as I don’t need them where I live. After researching online for a few days, this is what I’ve decided to go with. I’d be grateful if you guys could review these choices before I actually buy.

I’m really sorry some of these links are in Japanese.

Also regarding the tour itinerary, this is what I’ve come up with so far:

Day 1: Helsinki

Day 2: Santa claus village + arctic snow hotel

Day 3: Husky sledding

Day 4: Icebreaker cruise

Day 5: Riisitunturi national park

Day 6: Helsinki

Day 7: Tallinn

Day 8: Helsinki

Do you think this is doable? Also do you have any suggestions for activities in helsinki around mid-march?

Thanks for reading and really appreciate any suggestions / recommendations.

  1. This might be the week when a tourist coming to Helsinki in Sorel boots and a down jacket does not look ridiculous.
