  1. President Vladimir Putin said Russia doesn’t want to fight “endlessly” in Ukraine but won’t give up its positions and is ready for peace only on its own terms.

Speaking in televised comments on Monday during a visit to a military hospital, Putin said he’s satisfied with the Russian army’s performance in Ukraine as it’s now holding the strategic initiative on the front, while the opponent is “gradually deflating.” Russia is currently occupying about a fifth of Ukraine’s territory.

“We also want to end the conflict, and as soon as possible” — but “only on our terms,” Putin said. The Russian leader didn’t specify what conditions must be met for peace.

  2. « I want peace but first I want Zelensky to shove a banana up his ass on live TV and a blowjob from every Ukrainian citizen in the world, also I will be keeping the territories and Ukraine will have to ask before joining anything forever, am I not a reasonable guy? »

  3. if he wants peace, let him go back to the pre2012 borders

  4. I don’t think either Zelensky will do that, nor do I think Putler will get he’s wish of Gayle’s with any ukranian. He must do with ruzzian vatniks instead

  5. Nobody knows what “Russia’s own terms” are because they don’t exist as Putin has no exit strategy.
Russians don’t give a shit about Donbas and the economic pain is only now starting in earnest, so if there was a peace conference today and Putin got everything that’s anywhere near the scope of a sane conversation, there would be a big celebration in Russia followed by “Wait, what the fuck was all that for?” the very next day.

The regime wants this war to slow down to a simmering pace, so they can continue the totalitarian transformation under the looming threat of “existential confrontation with NATO” at their own leisure and bite another chunk out of Ukraine at some later, opportune moment. If we let that happen by depriving Ukraine of sufficient aid for them to regain momentum and failing to increase our own pressure, we’ll enable Putin to close every avenue of escape for Russia from this “triumph or nuclear armageddon” course.
I hope I don’t have to explain how foolish that would be and the way to prevent it is to make sure that the pressure on Russia is greater than the regime’s capacity to adapt to it by ramping up repression.

  6. How can it become peace when there is no war (according to ruzzia)? Just declare war first and then see what happen.

  7. Putin can go f*** himself.

Just get out of Ukraine and await judgement day for the evil you gave Ukraine.

  8. And I want Russian Prosperity. But on the terms of a bunch of our battle groups travelling to Moscow and emptying their bank vaults.

  9. Putin Says He Wants ~~Peace in~~ Ukraine ~~But on Russia’s Own Terms~~ to unconditionally surrender.

    FTFY

  10. NYT journalists tomorrow will be: BUT YOU SEE PUTIN WANT PEACE

  11. “Hitler wants peace, but on his own terms”

It just so happens that those terms are rather shit for everybody else involved.

  12. A little piece of Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Baltic’s etc

  13. I want peace in Ukraine and war in Russia, on my terms

  14. Can we hurry up and help him finish this conflict? We need more support in Ukraine and once they push out Russians from their 1991 borders, it will be close to the end.

Nothing will change for better, if Ukraine will be indefinitely involved in this war with territory occupied by Russia. Just look at history of Russian military conflicts and their Eurasianist ideology created by people like Dugin. They won’t stop, unless we make them stop.

  15. Yes he wants peace with all of Soviet Europe on his terms.

  16. Putin:”we will accelerate bombing Ukraine 2024″
Also Putin 5mins later: “we want peace, and not long war”
    Everybody else: “?”

  17. Peace in Ukraine on Russia’s terms is, essentially, Ukraine unconditionally surrendering.

  18. I want him and the rest of the Russian leadership to kill themselves. We don’t always get what we want.

  19. “Boo hoo why can’t the Ukrainians just not peacefully lay down under my boot?”

  20. Hitler also wanted peace on his terms

No other party wanted this though.
