Can we just stop tipping culture – pay staff appropriately
I thought this was already a thing? Wasn’t there already a law put in place a year or two ago saying 100% of tips have to go to the employees?
Abolish tipping
Cue shitty employers crying about how burdensome it will be to comply with these regulations and how this will surely drive them out of business…
The government will use this legislation as justification for not increasing the minimum wage. Pay staff a living wage. Tipping should not ever be necessary for a person’s ability to get by. It should be a nice act to show appreciation for excellent service.
No one tips nurses, but someone with no qualifications brings a plate from the kitchen to your table, they def need extra compensation.

Tipping culture can fuck back to America where it came from. Pay your employees and stop expecting other people to do it for you.
