They have acted against these tunnels and that this is unacceptable they do not accept the Israeli notion of taking over this area they say that there should be a border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip and that if Israel takes over Rafa Crossing this will further deteriorate the situation inide the Gaza

One has to mention another thing that once Israel will take over this Corridor this means that there will be heavy fighting there because Hamas is going to give a heavy fight in this area and also this is an area which is very crowded with Palestinian population we have to

Remember that the Israeli military has been pushing the res from the north of the Gaza Strip to the South all the way to ra all the way to this area so in order to take over we should expect many casualties

Israel’s Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Saturday that the Philadelphi Corridor buffer zone that runs along Gaza’s border with Egypt must be in Israeli hands. The area territory includes the Rafah Crossing, Gaza’s only connection to the Arab world. The Israeli military believes there are tunnels full of ammunition and “a lot of long-range missiles” have been coming into Gaza through these tunnels from Egypt, says journalist Sami Sockol, reporting from Jerusalem.

  1. Israel describes every move as a strategic, important and needed to defeat Hamas. All those steps are based on their beliefs that there are tunnels, there are Hamas fighters, there is a weapon. They may play this game of believing and important steps as long as they want. Not only with Gaza but West Bank and later some neighbouring countries. Arabs will keep silence as long as their borders are intact but they may miss moment when those excuses: strategic, important, believe, to defeat Hamas will reach their cities. Good luck with that.

  6. The whole of the Sinai Pensinsula belonged to Israel after the 1967 war. You do tend to lose territory when you lose a war . They handed it back to Egypt as part of a peace deal.

  8. Egypt has blockaded Gaza since 2007. Egypt flooded smuggling tunnels into Gaza in 2013, 2015 and 2017. In 2013, Egypt banned the Muslim Brotherhood.

  17. I suspect it’s all part of his masterplan to take complete control of the Strip before stealing any gas that’s extracted from the Gaza Marine Fields. The only fly in the ointment is what is he going to do about those Palestinians who manage to survive the slaughter? I assume he'll keep trying to push them into Egypt. As for the Palestinians in the West Bank, armed settlers will probably deal with every single one of them. The question is, will the world stand idly by, once again, and allow it?
