I see a bunch of them around where I live; but I’ve never been able to workout what they mean. This wall is definitely not 10 feet 6 inches high (unless I’m suddenly 20 feet tall myself…)

  1. Water hydrant plates.

    Normally seen as a square yellow sign with a giant black H on it with the two numbers split between the top and bottom of the H.

    This is just an old format.

    Top one is the size of the main that feeds the pipe, so 6″.

    Bottom one is distance to the hydrant.
