New Year’s Eve fireworks behind the scenes as organisers reveal concern of night
The biggest um anxiety for me is the londonite itself because we can’t actually rig any fireworks on there so we’re privileged here to be loading and rigging the largest display in the country for New Year’s Eve in London um we’ve got nearly 12,000 individual fireworks which we’re loading on to
These three barges uh they weigh close to 5 ton and we’ve got over 30 ton of equipment that um our 20 crew here need to load we start work on the 27th and uh we should be finished hopefully tomorrow when all the bodies will go up to the
River and uh ready for that midnight moment so we start Pro the creative process in August um and the first place we always start with is the music that’s the the key to the to the whole show that’s the spine uh and the music informs the choreography of the fireworks the type
The tempo the pace the volume the intensity um and once we’ve got the music we then sit down for a probably about two week process to do that design the choreography we have a simulation software which we can present to the client so they can critique it and then
Normally the design is signed off and finished around about mid November and then that gives us four to five weeks in our Factory to pick and prep and number and label all of the fireworks fuse everything together and box it ready to load all the vehicles and start work on
The 27th the biggest um anxiety for me is the londonite itself because we can’t actually rig any fireworks on there until the the night itself 6:00 we start we normally don’t finish um rigging the iron till close to 10:00 at night so literally 2 hours to go
The organisers behind London’s prestigious New Year’s Eve firework display have revealed their biggest concern ahead of the night.
The display team has been loading tonnes of fireworks onto barges that will be used as the ‘launch pads’ for the New Year display on Sunday (31 December) along the River Thames.
Nearly 12,000 individual fireworks will be set off on Sunday evening as part of the countdown to 2024.
Darryl Fleming, director of Titanium Fireworks, also revealed how plans for the celebration of the year started back in August.

Can’t wait! I hope London provides new firework effects and great music throughout the show! I hope that this display would be fun for everyone, not woke and political.
