  1. I think the goal will ultimately be to make republican voters feel like they literally cannot vote in the hope that some may take extreme steps to make sure their voices are heard. Basically, this will encourage violence and social unrest. That’s what the trump camp wants.

Meanwhile, democrats and most mainstream media organizations are treating this like a typical election, twiddling their thumbs while Republicans try to destroy democracy from within.

  2. I think I speak for all of us when I say nobody gives a fuck if you do that.

But it will be hilarious to see you have to follow through and do it, you sweaty bozo!

  3. > “If they remove Trump’s name, my name is off too and I call on Ron DeSantis, and Nikki Haley and Chris Christie to do the same thing. Their words are cheap. Action speaks louder than words,” Ramaswamy said. “Now, their unwillingness to do that, I think reveals that they’re actually complicit in part, in what’s happening, even if indirectly. I think it’s unconstitutional and we need to stand on principle, so my position is clear.”

Or their unwillingness to remove their names reveals they too think it’s constitutional, because it is, and they know it is, despite their bluster to appease their base.

  4. > doubles down

Ok? Bye. This isn’t an airport. No need to announce your departure.

  5. It does make you think – 1) removing Trump has to happen for him to have any chance of winning, 2) Trump is removed from a couple states, 3) he withdraws himself wherever Trump is removed. If he was only doing this for attention and wackadoo brand equity and genuinely wanted no part of actually trying to govern the country, this is exactly how he would act.

Anyways, I hope this tool is one-and-done and we’re not going to have to put up with his bullshit for decades going forward.

  6. You can take your name off every state ballot, dude. It will have the same effect as your name being on those tickets.

  7. Oh no, the dude with zero chance to win is taking his dodgeball and going home?? Whatever will we do?

  8. (Insert Gene Wilder “stop..don’t..come back…”meme…)

  9. …how you can tell he’s not serious about running for the office of President.

  10. Just desperately trying to suck up to Trump to get the VP pick. Pathetic.

  11. In other news, *dozens* of Republican primary votes suddenly up for grabs in Maine and Colorado.

  12. His abstention could result in dozens of votes going elsewhere.

  13. Numerous times I have asked myself, “what’s his end game”?

But I try to correct myself and remind myself that he almost certainly doesn’t have an end game. He has a “me” game, and that’s probably it.

  14. Makes it easier for his ego when he gets 0.1% of the vote

  15. He’s that one friend on facebook that makes a post to tell everyone he’s taking time off of social media when nobody asked.

  16. Imagine groveling this hard for the attention of an obese, traitorous stinker

  17. He should withdraw from all 50 states in protest. Show everybody who’s boss.

  18. “Guy with zero chance of winning the presidency or primary doubles down on withdrawal promise.”

  19. Can he just fuck off already? This is like a redditor announcing they are leaving a sub that they barely contributed to anyways – nobody gives a fuck.

  20. Didn’t he already suspend his campaign spending and advertising? It’s not like he was going to even get enough votes to draw from anyone even with trump not there.

  21. Just can’t admit he’s got no chance. Pathetic.
