Hi everyone! Bit of a random one:

I’m currently writing a dissertation about silent discos for my music degree, and have been delving into the history of the silent disco. Some articles online say that a Finnish sci-fi film called **’Ruusujen Aika’ (1969)** was among the first instances of the silent disco or headphone disco in pop culture — however, none of these articles go into any detail about the film’s plot or the context in which the headphone disco appears. For example…

Not much to go on! I’d love to find out more for myself, but the film doesn’t seem to be available anywhere, and in any case, I don’t speak Finnish.

**Has anyone here seen this film?** If so, could you perhaps tell me about the silent disco scene, what it’s like and what the context is for it?

Know it’s a long shot but I’d be super grateful for any help. Thanks so much!
