German national living in USA. If I decide to move back, can I bring my dog to Rheinland Pfalz? If not any states that allow me to bring her?

  1. online it seems to be pretty confusing. She’s mainly a bully which doesn’t seem to be on the import ban but she has a wider jaw.. which may disqualify her?

Did anyone ever successfully keep their dog? I am so worried they will take her at the airport and I don’t want to leave her behind in the US 🙁

Making her a service dog seems to be the only answer if she does qualify as a listenhund?

    Hopefully not

You cannot import a crossbreed like that.

And because every single bloody time someone posts about this, commenters will pop up linking to the rules for keeping such dogs in individual federal states: Those rules apply to *dogs already in the country*. They do *not* allow import of dogs into that federal state from abroad.

How are you planning on doing that? What medical need do you have, and what training has the dog received to serve this medical need? How has the training been certified?

  4. She seems to be a crossbreed with a restricted breed, so it’s unlikely for you to get her into the country.

  5. No you won’t be able to bring the dog. No need to try and get the dog a service dog certificate. The process is extremely strict in Germany unlike the US and emotional support animals are not a thing here
