Holy shit, I am so grateful for her, her friends & family that she’s alive. Hopefully that man is prosecuted to the fullest extent and she receives some monetary compensation to fund her recovery. The pain on her face in those photos is gut wrenching. Wishing her lots of love and support during the immensely difficult recovery.

i don’t think someone should have posted a photo of her in such a vulnerable state but i hope she heals well both physically and mentally. its horrible she got stuck in the middle of a police chase, they should be ashamed of harming an innocent bystander like this

I know Reddit hates this but I’m gonna get sociological for a second because I’ve already seen a couple comments (rightfully) talking about if she consented to having the photos of her injuries posted.
Her mother took the photos and posted them online for her. It’s one of the things that a lot of black women do in order to protect themselves from backlash. Yes you read right, *backlash*. Black women are subjected to high levels of scrutiny when they get injured and people will often downplay their injuries. Posting these photos early is a way to get ahead of some of that.
Another example of this happening was when Megan Thee Stallion was shot in the foot. She posted a photo of one of her X-rays which clearly showed gunshot fragments *in her foot* and people still claimed she was lying. There were even people claiming to be doctors doing interviews with online magazines saying that she was lying and that the X-rays were just showing glass shards.
This is why cops chasing fleeing suspects in a car is stupid.
Disney is probably rubbing their hands together “guess we’re saving money on special effects next movie.”
