Stock market highs complicate Donald Trump’s 2024 economic message. A regular part of his message was to claim President Biden was market poison. All told, 2023 ended with the Dow rising 13.7% for the year. The S&P is up over 24% with the tech-heavy Nasdaq composite rising 43.4%.

It’s an everything bubble…ready to pop.
Those are actually phenomenal investment returns. Those who succumbed to the ‘doom and gloom’ prognostications may have missed out on the huge surge in US household wealth. Of course real wages and property values are also up for many.
Great to see this. The rediculous campaigning of misinformed spew and unfounded hatred towards opposition has now just got to stop so the country can really be a shining example of democracy. Currently its an embarrassing joke.
Didn’t the FED just pump 2 trillion in BFTP loans into market. Articially inflating it? Essentially another form of QE.
This sub loves to gaslight and is the biggest propaganda sub on reddit.
I heard one of the acolytes of the former guy try to claim that the market is anticipating a GOP win in 2024 so it’s just pricing that in now.
Of course, if the market tanked, he would’ve spun the exact opposite tale.
Presidents have little to do with the stock market short of starting a war.
The very rich can’t think of anything better to do with other people’s money than buy more stocks. The euphoria they create among the masses causes the ‘wealth effect’. You will come off your high when they liquidate to buy another private island and the jets and yachts to reach their bunker.
If he gets elected he will take the fall for a bad economy. Things start to tank 18 months after interest rates peak.
The S&P500 is still **lower** from its all time high from 2 years ago. The average annual stock growth under Biden has been lower than the average 10% per year.
If the S&P500 stock market growth was the litmus test, then Biden is performing below average.
Another spam article for election year😂 Who cares what the stock market is doing. Can anyone afford anything right now? Food, housing, insurance? No not at all. Also, the massive transfer in wealth to the top 1% in the last three years has been disgusting.
