Russia threatens military deployment to Cuba and Venezuela as Nato talks falter

  1. What’s the problem with that? Isn’t Cuba and Venezuela sovereign countries?

Edit: Now they downvoting me. So you don’t like it when it’s the other way round now huh?

  2. last Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov almost sunk 2 years ago. It caught fire by itself being in the dry dock. It was build in 1985 I doubt it could cross the ocean even being “operational”

  3. Maybe around 2030, when Russia will supposedly have built the two amphibious assault ships that they need to replace the two French Mistral-class ships that were sold to Egypt instead of Russia after the 2014 invasion of Ukraine.

BTW this means that Russia will need almost 15 years (if there are no further delays) to design and build an alternative to what France was going to sell them, roughly double the time that Italy needed to go from design to finish of the Trieste amphibious assault ship (to enter service in 2022).

  4. Strangely, i don’t object this as much as i would’ve thought.. I mean, i have to live right next to Russia, maybe Russia should move closer to USA.. See how it is like when you have to get along and can’t just use East Europe for proxy actions.

  5. Good luck. Hopefully Russia realises that the United States of America basically controls every single naval choke point together with its Navy, NATO allies and (Major non NATO Allies) [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_non-NATO_ally]

  6. Russian government is really delirious or North Korean hilarious? It seems like they literally want a confrontation and have nothing better to do in life.

  7. with wich warm waterports. They would literally need huge supplies for winter or massive airlifts across continents in case of war. Because the warm water port they have is blocked in times of war with the west

  8. The USA could shut their supply lines in a matter of minutes. Unless they’re talking nukes, it’s not going to do anything for Russia.

  9. What a creative way to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Good old re-enactment!

  10. To do what? Putin must be very senile if he still thinks Russia has any power in the world, perhaps with terror and crime but otherwise Russia is just some country, nothing more. It doesn’t have to be but that solely depends on those who are in power and for a few decades they decided not to build a great nation but to enrich themselves at the cost of their nation. Wanting to send troops to Cuba and Venezuela doesn’t change a thing.

  11. Russia: Controls Soviet Union

    Soviet Union: Opresses Eastern Europe

    NATO: “Please don’t”

    Soviet Union: Collapses

    Eastern Europe: Joins NATO

    Russia: “You can’t do that!”

Eastern Europe: “We did it. We don’t trust you.”

Russia: “You can’t! You’re opressing me!”

NATO: “Nobody’s opressing you. Here, let’s work together!”

    Russia: Invades Georgia.

NATO: “Why would you do this? This is making it hard to work with you.”

    Russia: Invades Ukraine

NATO: “Guess we’re not working together anymore. Also, please stop.”

    Russia: “Stop opressing me!”

    NATO: “…”

Russia: Masses largescale invasion force on border with Ukraine for round 2.

    Nato: “…seriously, stop that.”

    Russia: “WITHDRAW FROM EASTERN EUROPE.”

Nato: “…What? No. Why would you think we’d even consider–”

Russia: “STOP OPRESSING ME. Also, Finland, Sweden, you better not join NATO or we will DESTROY YOU.”

Nato: “We’ve been over this, we’re not… and also that’s not your decision to make!”

Russia: “YOU HAVE 20 SECONDS TO COMPLY”

Nato: “We already said no. And actually, if you don’t knock this ridiculous shit off we’ll be forced to take act-”

Russia: “DO WHAT I SAY or I’ll put my military stuff in Cuba and Venezuela”

Nato: “…what? Grandpa Russia, have you been watching your old cold war movies too much again? Is that what
    this is?”

    Russia: “STOP OPRESSING ME”

  12. Lol ok, go ahead Russia spend that money when your economy is literally less than half that of California alone
