last Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov almost sunk 2 years ago. It caught fire by itself being in the dry dock. It was build in 1985 I doubt it could cross the ocean even being “operational”

Maybe around 2030, when Russia will supposedly have built the two amphibious assault ships that they need to replace the two French Mistral-class ships that were sold to Egypt instead of Russia after the 2014 invasion of Ukraine.
BTW this means that Russia will need almost 15 years (if there are no further delays) to design and build an alternative to what France was going to sell them, roughly double the time that Italy needed to go from design to finish of the Trieste amphibious assault ship (to enter service in 2022).
Strangely, i don’t object this as much as i would’ve thought.. I mean, i have to live right next to Russia, maybe Russia should move closer to USA.. See how it is like when you have to get along and can’t just use East Europe for proxy actions.
