  1. Weird title.

TIL will arnett and Jason Bateman are journalists.

  2. I quite liked when he was on the Graham Norton show with Lady GaGa promoting the Gucci film and she was demonstrating her somewhat *less than authentic* Italian accent and he- in a moment of comedy genius- pointedly checked his watch

  3. Whoever is handling his post Star Wars role selection does not seem to understand his strong suits. Adam is not the kind of actor who can transform into completely and radically different characters. It’s just not in his wheelhouse. When you watch him performing in White Noise, House of Gucci, and Ferrari, you don’t see the character, you see Adam Driver.

Not to mention in ‘65’ wherein they tried to make him into an action movie star. It just doesn’t work for him.

He needs to take more roles like Marriage Story.

  4. Well they asked the question so apparently some do give a poop..? Not that it really means anything but with that reaction it seems like he cares a wee bit maybe.

  5. Didn’t he already do this a couple of months ago? Or is this a different episode of chewing out the press? When you make movies, you also have to go out and do press for them, and yes, it can suck big time, but such is life. I sympathize with him on this, and totally get why he’s so grumpy, but he’s courting backlash and a bad reputation if he keeps up like this.

  6. It was a lighthearted convo on a comedic podcast. I listened to it today and thought nothing of it. Adding The Wrap to the list of websites I just ignore

  7. Why is he the only Star Wars actor getting work? He’s had flop, after flop, after flop.

  8. I always thought it was super weird that a guy named Driver got cast as a SkyWALKER.

  9. I just want to put this out there:

Smartless is not journalism. Its hosts are not journalists.

  10. Let’s not forget his horrible acting in the horrible “The Dead Don’t Die.” I need a refund for that garbage but the art house cinema I went to insisted it was “artsy.”

  11. The funnier observation is this from Anthony Lane in the New Yorker:

“We can but imagine what Driver thought when he read the script of “Ferrari” and realized that, so alarmingly soon after “House of Gucci” (2021), he would once again be obliged not only to wrap his tongue around a piccante Italian accent but also to make spur-of-the-moment love with his co-star (first Lady Gaga, now Cruz) athwart a tabletop, negotiating highly complex lingerie along the way. As typecasting goes, it doesn’t get much more niche than that.”

  12. As a liberal, this is a prime example of the term, conservatives can’t name, which is “Woke!” Netflix has shown that there are many countries that make their own movies, so sorry that American media, influencers, etc. have an issue with Adam, but most Americans don’t, so…who gives a f@ck!

  13. I happen to love the heat from a good dumpster fire. More please!
