  1. Just learned a housebound elderly lady had her house flooded round the corner of our house. On the phone to her insurance company and pumping her drains out I feel so bad for her

  2. Doesn’t pumping the drains out just end up flooding someone else?

  3. That’s the most pathetic attempt at a Loch Ness monster photo I’ve ever seen.

  4. Did you get that satisfying surge when the block finally clears and it just slinks away?

  5. there’s a youtube guy – https://www.youtube.com/@post.10 – who goes around clearing drains – it’s very satisfying to watch … anyway got me thinking I’d probably pre-emptively clear my drains … if I didn’t live 6 floors up

  6. What is this? Water? Where did you get it? Looks like you spilled some

  7. You didn’t have to show off the communal pool

  8. Took me 2 hours to get home from work today because everywhere was flooded. Usually takes half an hour.

Even for the UK this weather is just awful.

  9. How long ago was your estate built?

I see a lot of newer estates from sorta late 00s onwards round my way being built in former floodplains. Then people wonder why their gardens always a quagmire when it drizzles and starts to flood when it rains.

  10. It’s that one spoilt kid with the waterworks again

  11. What in the new build on a flood plain with trees removed is this

  12. Upton in Severn enters the chat. In was a typo but decided it was more fitting than the traditional on. The Severn has been up and down more than a tart’s knickers recently and it is getting very boring.

  13. Good excuse for a day off work though always a bright side?
