  1. First of all, incredibly cool sketch! Also, as someone who’s trying to reconnect a bit with their heritage I really adore how you do this through art.

Secondly, while the overall red-white + black design is really good, I think what its missing is probably flowers. Lots of them.
From clothing to pillow covers flower patterns are a huge thing in folk’s costume, with most being red or green, maybe a few yellows or blues strewn in there.

You also gotta keep in mind that it varies a lot depending on what region we’re talking about. The general advice I can give for a “Hungarian folk wear” is to take a white dress as the base, maybe use black to contrast, like you’ve done, and just add a heckton of different colored flowers while keeping the symmetry. You can include an open vest (I also saw a corset on one of the artworks but I’m not sure how common are those historically speaking so I cannot comment on it), and I also saw a lot of folks wear having a pánta (headband that ties back the hair a bit, is tied together at the back, and has these extra cloth pieces attached called pántlikák, all of which ofc, have flower/other patterns). (Keep in mind that the last one symbolizes virginity and was/is usually worn up until weddings, there’s a lot of symbolism that has to do with that kinda stuff)
