Protect A Volunteer supports a drone unit who lost over 30K worth of equipment in a van crash in which the driver was sadly killed. They lost multiple drones, Starlink, power station and need to replace it to 100% effective. We want to help. And yes, their team is called “Droney McDroneface”

Our Droney McDroneface team needs LOTS of help! We originally named them that since Reddit loves anything with “Mc-xxx-face” in the name. Mr. u/rcmcd922 then suggested they should be “Indiana Drones and the Temple of Boom” but we were denied 😊 But I digress.

They need to replace their equipment destroyed in a bad van crash on icy Ukrainian roads. As they were moving to a new area of operations, the van rolled, the back doors flew open and everything inside was like a massive washing machine. They lost the driver. Another of our volunteers was injured but is healing and almost ready to return to the front.

    They need to replace:

    Volkswagen CRAFTER Van – +- 14000 USD

    DJi Mini 2, 4x, ~1500 USD

    DJI MAVIC 3, 4x 9200 USD

    Starlink, ~600 USD

    FPV drones 5x 2500

    DJI mavic 3 pro 1x 2100

    DJI mavic 3E 1x 3350

    Jackery Explorer 1000 Power Station x1 , ~1100 USD

In addition, the injured volunteer needs to replace personal gear like boots, winter jacket and the iPhone/iPad he uses for his work.

You can donate to the team by going to our [PayPal](https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=CLFN53FZKSDY4) and selecting Droney McDroneface in the dropdown menu.

  2. Donated, and sorry for the loss of your driver

  3. I’m so sorry for the loss of another dedicated and courageous volunteer. I hope for a speedy and full recovery for the injured. These guys are risking everything to fight for the freedom of the Ukrainian people and to uphold the values they believe in.

Having sponsored an exceptional man who recently gave his life for this cause, and now sponsoring a member of the platoon he led, I can attest to the gratefulness these men have for the support of all the sponsors or donations. That genuine gratefulness, and frequent “thank you so much” was unexpected, as I think it is myself who should be grateful for them! Just knowing that there are people who care about them and support them is a big morale boost. And it is not how much money you can give; whether it is $2 or $200 from someone who supports them, it is known and felt.

    Slava Ukraini! Heroyam Slava!
