Its hard to think of a more pathetic waste of energy than complaining ‘I saw a trans person’
144 sad losers complained out of total viewing figures of 7.6 million.
I know this kind of thing upsets a certain subset of adults, but they should perhaps just fuck off.
7.6 million views. 144 complaints. That’s 0.0018947368% of viewers. However will the Beeb weather this storm?
Ever need definitive proof that transphobia is real and lot of folks are hiding behind “reasonable” concerns this is it. Yasmin Finney is a wonderful actress who is amazing in Heartstopper and who has earned her big break, yet 144 people took time out of their lives to write to the BBC about having to see a trans person.
Surely there should have been more complaints over the appallingly written script and storyline than this.
I don’t like how doctor who depicts time people events and locations from the past and future, it’s woke and out of control
It should be like people wanted tv to be, an old man dressed up as an old lady in front of a live studio audience with a cast of characters of her friends and family coming to visit and getting into comical situations
I suspect they complained about a black doctor too.
I’m am so, so sick of seeing these BBC headlines with ‘trans women banned from X’ and ‘debate of trans women doing Y’ and ‘Z who is a trans women’.
And always linked with a comment from JK Rowling who is apparently the authority on all trans issue.
It’s a tiny, tiny fraction of the population.
People are struggling with the cost of living, bills, and an utterly inept government ffs.
The transphobes are giving themselves away a bit here.
They pretend that it’s nothing to do with hatred of trans people, but their complaint here is that a trans person exists. They can’t pretend that their complaint has to do with women’s spaces, freedom of speech, children transitioning or anything else. 100% of their complaint is that a trans person exists.
There is literally nothing that a trans person could do to alleviate their “concerns” other than to stop existing.
At that point it’s clearly just bigotry and hatred rather than anything else.

But they’re making their own product shit and inhospitable. Why don’t they just take the feedback on the chin like grownups and fix it?
Cool. What about the complaints that the script was straight ass?
I’d be happy to bet that none of those 144 sad whingers even watch Dr Who anyway.
It’s fine that Doctor Who is mostly and Diversity and lgbtq thing now, but it would be cool if it could go back to some sci if storylines as well

Thought the story was kind of mid though.
New Doctor seems to be making it his own rendition and thats kind of cool.
Can not see why peeps would complain about it not like it was over sexualised and it was barely mentioned.
