Is this worse than taking up two spaces?

  1. The P plates just lead me to believe they fucked up but I’ve seen people do that before and it annoys the fuck out of me. Parking really isn’t that difficult.

  2. It’s more likely to be genuine mistake they’ll realise on their way back.

  3. I mean it’s more neatly between the lines than the 4×4 next to it…

  4. I mean, it’s not taking up *any* parking spaces, so…. 🙂

  5. There appears to be some spaces in the distance as well

  6. Nah I used to have a fiesta they’re not that bad really

  7. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the driving test is too easy!

  8. No, that’s someone making a mistake, hopefully they will learn from it

  9. To be fair they have done a bang on job of parking. Right in the middle, nice and square…just slightly in the wrong place XD

Reminds me of an old boy at work doing his welding test one year. Vertical arc weld, absolutely perfect, straight as an arrow, slag peeled off perfectly in one piece…but he missed the join by about 2 inches because he forgot his glasses!

  10. Just passed their test as well. I assume they weren’t taught what a parking space looks like.

  11. Even if this is intentional; a) they haven’t prevented anyone else from using a space and b) its not impossible to get past them (although I have seen some drivers who would struggle in this situation).

    I’m going to vote no.

  12. Total lack of awareness. Shouldn’t be driving if you can’t read basic road markings.

  13. Was this taken at a Vue cinema car park? looks familiar

  14. I can forgive a P sticker driver for doing this.

The P sticker is there precisely because this is a period of time where some people are arguably more likely to make silly little mistakes like this as they’re driving on their own for the first time.

Do I understand how they’ve managed this? Absolutely not, it’s baffling…But I’m also not that person, who knows what was going through their head at the time.

I think some people in this comment thread need to take a step back and realise that even if they weren’t aware at the time, they probably made some absolutely dumbass mistakes when they first passed their test…A LOT of people are still making dumbass mistakes years later with years of “experience”.

  15. No, because it’s more accidental than it is intentional. It’s also pretty funny, which massively takes the edge off.

  16. I’ve seen people with many years experience do this. Often deliberately they cannot be bothered to walk.

  17. can someone explain what is that two lines divider for? Is that a two-lane exit from the parking or what?

  18. P plates are for someone who passed their driving test but doesn’t yet feel comfortable behind the wheel.

  19. Hey it’s P plate for parking so they’re right you know.

  20. The P plate is really the icing on the cake on this one.

    💋👌

  21. Straight, within the lines. What’s the problem?
This is top tier parking on the continent

  22. Had this happen in a Greggs car park last year from an old boy. Single way in and out completely blocked by his parking. Ended up with about 6 of us sat in our cars tutting while he got a sandwich

  23. Showed this to my partner saying “haha look at this dumbass”, she said she’s done it and got a ticket 😂

  24. Is it worse if this was a mistake by someone oblivious or if it was intentional by someone apathetic to others?

  25. as a minor, i have no idea about driving, someone explain what’s wrong?

presumably it’s not a parking space given the different lines, but what is it then?

  26. If it’s like our hospital spillover car park it has no lights, not near any lights, and mostly about 1 inch deep in water as it constantly pisses down and there’s no drainage. So if it were like that one and they parked when it was dark I give them 10 out of 10 for effort.

…as opposed to an honest, still don’t know what they’re doing yet, mistake. P plate.

  27. I’ve always thought if you think you need a P plate then you probably shouldn’t be on the road in the first place

  28. To someone who is very inexperienced, it does look a bit like a parking space tbf.

  29. When I was around 6 I thought the P stood for Pensioner.
