The last two photos are of a humming bird I think?
Dart
probably from some sort of collection
Is the second one a cross-section of a nest? The layers and insulation seem to be indicative of nesting methods
Post on r/birdsarntreal for an accurate reply
They’re dead birds, mate
There used to be a fashion for them as living room ornaments.
dead birds
Pterodactyl
Hat decorations
Your nan was a witch!!!! I’m kidding, looks like a taxidermist nest with some taxidermy birds x
They’re not dead, they’re pining for the Fjords!
1: Blue winged mountain tanager.
2: A nest
3: Some kind of long tailed humming bird (edit: long tailed sylph)
4: Greenish puffleg
5: White booted racket-tail
Fingers mate.
Birbs.
Was your nan a witch by any chance?
Tortoises
Oh mate, you’ve disturbed an offering to Marquis Phenex. DON’T LISTEN to anything that bird says (or tweets or whatever), demand that he take human form, you’ll be reet. Phenex is really good at poetry and sciences—he’s a sort of C17th GPT.
Throw it and see if it glides?
Your dead nan is in the attic?
Pwetty birds
French ticklers
I’m really good at identifying birds.
Those are definitely birds.
Yee ol’ darts, pre Iron Age! It used to be ‘it’s a Birdseye’, later translated to ‘it’s a bullseye!’.
Dead birds
The last picture looks like something the CIA would have tried you use to assainate Castro with back in the day.
Did your Nan weigh the same as a duck?
Looks like a Norwegian Blue, pining for the fjords.
When i was 6 or 7 my nan had one, a dead blue tit, in this spooky cupboard (the wind whistled through it when opened in the highest room of the house) and I was so frightened by it I never went into that room again. Bizarre
They look like taxidermy specimens from a museum tray. They often have that kind of tubular shape.
Trophies of the hunt. Was your nan a cat, by any chance?
Wash your hands if they are old they may have Arsenic on them.
