Trump’s Idiot Lawyer Just Admitted He May Be Guilty of Insurrection: Donald Trump keeps hiring the very best.

  1. Trump’s lawyer Christina Bobb seems to be arguing that even an insurrectionist should be allowed to run the country—and could be seen as an admission of guilt.

  2. “The president is elected by the entire nation”. The president is actually elected by the electoral college. If it was a raw vote count, there would never be another Republican president.

  3. I’d also point out that Inmate No. P01135809’s DC circuit court appeal for his immunity case, concedes “the President [is] the chief constitutional *officer* of the executive branch” and repeatedly refers to the presidency as an “*office*” (emphasis mine).

  4. It’s very clear these idiots haven’t read the constitution.

  5. Does his female lawyer ever say anything or does she just sit there with pursed lips waiting for her gig on Fox News?

  6. We all don’t live in the Bobb universe. The U.S. Constitution says that an insurrectionist should **not** be able to run the country.

  7. Lol. Just testing that line out early for when the inevitable happens, yeah?

  8. > “The president is elected by the entire nation, and it should be the entire nation who determines who they want for president, whether they are guilty of insurrection or not,” Bobb said during an interview on Real America’s Voice. “It’s up to the people.”

Almost sounds like she’s arguing for the popular vote. In which case, of course, Trump never would’ve been President to begin with. Bring it on.

  9. We watched it happen live on TV. I had friends in other countries texting me because it was breaking news in THEIR countries.

It’s ridiculous US media pretends it is up for debate.

  10. >“The president is elected by the entire nation, and it should be the entire nation who determines who they want for president, whether they are guilty of insurrection or not,”

    hahahahahahahahaha

  11. >> “The president is elected by the entire nation, and it should be the entire nation who determines who they want for president, whether they are guilty of insurrection or not,” Bobb said during an interview on Real America’s Voice. “It’s up to the people.”

She’s right, the **popular vote** should determine the president. Then Trump would have lost in 2016 too

  12. If the potential candidate is not constitutionally qualified then it does not matter. If he was 34, he couldn’t be president no matter how many people voted. Remember when GOP pretended to know the constitution?

  13. The old intolerance defence: you have to accept my intolerance otherwise that makes you intolerant.

You have to let my undemocratic candidate run or that makes you undemocratic.

  14. Isn’t he essentially admitting guilt of he’s arguing for presidential immunity?

  15. > “The president is elected by the entire nation, and it should be the entire nation who determines who they want for president, whether they are guilty of insurrection or not,” Bobb said during an interview on Real America’s Voice.

    Fuck the Constitution, amirite?

    > “It’s up to the people.”

It’s not, actually, that’s the whole point.

  16. As the pattern goes, he’s past “I didn’t do it” and “if I did it” to “I did it but”. He’s painfully predictable in his lies.

  17. All Trump relies on are his MAGA base and his SC allies. All his legal blunders could be saved by either a SC siding with him unconditionally or an election victory. He is betting on that. I hope neither would happen.

  18. >“The president is elected by the entire nation, and it should be the entire nation who determines who they want for president, whether they are guilty of insurrection or not,” Bobb said during an interview on Real America’s Voice. “It’s up to the people.”

    THATS THE PROBLEM, JACKASS!!!

The reason to remove Trump from the ballot is because he tried to undermine the will of the people. The concern is that he’ll try to do it again too.

Yes, there is something inherently undemocratic about banning people from the ballot. But what’s that thing Republicans always say? It’s not a democracy, it’s a constitutional Republic. Certain rules are put in place that prevent the people from choosing anyone they want. And the basis is that it undermines democracy to allow full democracy.

  19. Trump’s magic touch turns businesses, marriages, and other peoples’ lives to shit. If these lawyers weren’t crap before Trump’s “manure touch” they soon will be, if they survive disbarment, should they actually follow Trump’s instructions regarding his defense.

  20. Ahhhh we’ve reached the “Even if it was illegal, he still wasn’t wrong” level

  21. >One of Donald Trump’s lawyers appeared to accidentally admit that the former president may have engaged in insurrection.
Christina Bobb, a vocal 2020 election denier, tried to argue Tuesday night that voters should be able to elect anyone they want for president.
“The president is elected by the entire nation, and it should be the entire nation who determines who they want for president, whether they are guilty of insurrection or not,” Bobb said during an interview on Real America’s Voice. “It’s up to the people.”

That would be something if Trump were undone by his own reliance on not paying for better lawyers and on sycophants who cannot speak to protect him. Of course he will never accept any responsibility, probably will drag Bobb’s name in the mud and blame Biden and Haley while he is at it.
