A New Tax on Imports and a Split From China: Trump’s 2025 Trade Agenda. Trump plans to sharply expand his use of tariffs if he returns to power, risking disruption to the economy. His plans would amount to a high-stakes gamble with the economy’s health. “erratic and irrational”

  1. day 3, and already everyone is talking non-stop about Trump.

This is going to be a very long year.

  2. Isnt China Tarriffs a recipe for higher prices or inflation?

  3. This might be an unpopular opinion, but what was all that bad about Trump’s tarifs? $80 billion in revenue with a negligible impact on wages and GDP. The biggest impact claimed is over 100k jobs lost but we’re damn near at full employment right now.

I mean, Biden has pretty much kept every tarif in place. Speaks volumes.

  4. Trump’s tariffs probably primed the pump for supply chain issues during Covid and were a major contributor to inflation.
