This might be a dumb question, but hoping someone can answer it for me as I can’t seem to get a straight answer. Back when Trump was initially ruled guilty and ordered to pay $5m, an acquaintance on FB posted a bet of $100 that the verdict and $5m would be overturned on appeal. I took his bet and am now wondering when would be a safe time to cash in on this bet or bring it up again? Has he lost the appeal for the first trial yet/is he on the line for the initial $5m or is this still under appeal?
I have no doubt in the world this MAGAt won’t pay me regardless of the verdict, but it’ll be nice to remind him just the same!
