1200 a month for a 3 bed in Ballykeel, seriously? Is there considerable overlap between people who could afford that, and people who would rent in a council estate? Not shaming btw, but surely that’s twice the mortgage for a house in the area.

  1. Don’t shame Ballykeel for being a council estate, shame it for being a fucking kip.

  2. I reckon a lot of landlords have photos of Liz Truss on their mantlepiece.

  3. Even worse, it’s in Ballee not Ballykeel, which is somehow an even worse estate.

  4. Your paying whoever owns it two mortgages off, for this house and the other they have.

  5. That’s targeting Eastern Europeans over for work and will house a load of guys who will split that £200/person.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner is Eastern European.

  6. I know the boy who used to live there, the landlord was getting 550 off him. Sent him out cause he was wanting to sell I guess he changed his mind or did sell to some delusional eejit.

Small world vibes seeing this on my feed.

  7. That’s not Ballykeel – it’s Ballee. Source: used to live there.

I currently live in the exact same house build in Randalstown (they basically copied Lanntara) and I pay £550 a month. I don’t think I’d be happy paying more than that to live in Ballee again!

  8. Looking for multiple tenants to split rent I would imagine, “Some” landlords are modern day Gangsters tbh

  9. There is very little Irish solidarity these days, the irish are screwing their youth for a quid.

  10. You sure that’s not ballee? Its more the style of ballee

  11. Dick Turpin at least wore a mask. That’s daylight robbery that.

  12. If it’s a HMO, £400 pm pp is steep AF but not a complete rip off.
