Texas, where women are less important than a fetus

  1. It’s not even about fetusses; it’s about crusty old assholes who just won’t let go on their death grip on society. Everything has to be about them forever and ever and ever.

  2. Texas women all go lesbian, best sex they ever had, tell men to go fuck themselves

  3. “of course we have to give the fetus priority treatment–after all, there’s a 50% it could be male!”

  4. Women have far less rights than guns in Texas.

    Let that sink in…

  5. So many friends told me during lockdown to move to Texas with them, this is why I said no and I will never move to any Southern state. Smh 🤦🏿‍♂️. I’m good.

  6. Who wins this election could mean the difference between still having an America and a dictatorship/theocracy.

But even still, sometimes I wonder if voting even does any good.

Considering the GQP is literally planning to destroy America ([Project 2025](https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/maga-plan-attack-birth-control-surveil-women-ban-abortion-pill-1234934807/)), I just don’t know how optimistic I can be anymore. By 2026 we could see minorities in camps and women being thought of as merely objects either as maids, for sex, both, just…. being treated like shit. All with a dictator named Donald J Trump.

I want to make it clear: it’s always good to have some optimism. I like to listen to songs from Dragon Tales to make me feel a little better when i’m having a bad day – I listen to [the theme song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgEoDmY2A3M&pp=ygUXZHJhZ29uIHRhbGVzIHRoZW1lIHNvbmc%3D), of course, but also the deep cuts “[Shake Your Dragon Tail](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3UxhQHTAaM&pp=ygUXc2hha2UgeW91ciBkcmFnb24gdGFsZXM%3D)” and “[Wake Up](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mhy_MbnhTeo&pp=ygUUd2FrZSB1cCBkcmFnb24gdGFsZXM%3D)”, among others from the show. They’re just fun, pleasant and well-done kids show songs that really help make my day brighter.

Honorable mentions go to “[Never Let You Go](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nroaoWEXIA&pp=ygUfbmV2ZXIgbGV0IHlvdSBnbyAyMDA4IHJlbWFzdGVyIA%3D%3D)” by Third Eye Blind and “[Break It Down Again](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAc7sFurdUI&pp=ygUjYnJlYWsgaXQgZG93biBhZ2FpbiB0ZWFycyBmb3IgZmVhcnM%3D)” by Tears For Fears, both of which put me in a happy mood.

But even afterwards I still have a dread of 2025 and beyond. How women will be treated, how the LGBTQ+ community and immigrants and people of color will be treated. It keeps me up at night.

  7. Where women are less important than an embryo, or even an ovum.

  8. Almost. A fetus is important only insofar as it allows the government to control the woman.

  9. I know Texass is a large state, but I can say with great certainty that I’ll never ever go there to visit that one cousin.

  10. Pro life, except for adult females. Hey Texas females, you may want to think about that when it comes time to vote.

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD BE VOTING FIR DEMOCRATS.

  11. To answer the protestor’s sign of “why are we going backwards?”: rich old white guys

  12. You know what they say, Vote R when you want to go in reverse.

  13. These judges are troglodytes. No, that’s being too generous.

  14. Put these judges in the Emergency Department when a woman is near death because she has been denied a needed abortion.

  15. Here’s my advice as an ObGyn. Call your nearby hospitals.

You need to know if your nearby hospitals’ on-call pool of ObGyn will perform MEDICAL AND OR SURGICAL PREGNANCY TERMINATIONS FOR LIVE FETUSES FOR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
    1) pre- or peri-viable chorioamnionitis with or without sepsis.
    2) cornual ectopic pregnancy
    3) cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy.

If the answer is no, then never go to that hospital if you’re pregnant.

    Here’s why:

If you live in Texas, you’re really unlikely to have a problem in the case of *extrauterine* ectopic pregnancy.

What we’re really drilling down to in the law is how obgyns should behave when facing termination of a live in-utero pregnancy of uncertain viability.

The specific scenarios are that of chorioamnionitis of a pre or peri-viable fetus with a heartbeat and, less likely, cornual and cesarean scar ectopics.

If you have one of these, this ruling puts you in actual danger. Why? Because now, an ObGyn only has to provide you stabilizing care under EMTALA, not actually help you. “Well they only ever had to do that, it changes nothing.” Wrong – as the court says, “Dobbs was a sea change.” Abortions were legal to do beforehand and as a result doctors were required to provide the appropriate stabilizing care which, in these cases, is abortion. Not antibiotics, not admission with careful observation and ultrasounds. ABORTION.

Now, a doctor can choose to simply not provide that stabilizing care option. Could they have done that before? Yes, but they would have been at the “jeopardy of state policing” by the medical board for providing inadequate and inappropriate care.

Now, they can simply refuse and leave you marinating in antibiotics or with an ectopic bomb in your uterus until the fetus dies or you do by cardiovascular collapse from sepsis or internal exsanguination.

To all you brave women in Texas, I feel we’ve failed you. I beg your forgiveness.

  16. I hope that medical professionals continue to flee Texas, and in greater numbers.

I think there are quite a few who don’t want to be complicit with murdering innocent women via uterine sepsis and other complications.

Maybe they don’t want to help make profits for hospitals that let women die.

Maybe they don’t want to give tax money to a state that thinks murder for the crime of having a uterus is fair.

Maybe they eventually realize that Texas will never magically turn blue and undo these horrors.

  17. I moved from Texas to Australia over 10 years ago. Best choice ever for my daughter and her future health.

  18. Texas, another church state with a large hammer enforcement especially, against females freedoms. Several Middle East countries operate the same.

  19. I’m wondering, where in their collection of stories called ‘The Bible’, is a fetus more important than the woman bearing it?

  20. The Bene Gesserit eventually suspected that the axlotl tanks were what remained of female Texans, since no Texan females had ever been seen. Moreover, the Reverend Mother Darwi Odrade, during the time of the Honored Matres, told Texan Master Tylwyth Waff that neither she nor any of her sisters would become an axlotl tank. This remark elicited shock from the Texan Master a reaction that indicated that the Bene Gesserit suspicion was true. Certain information could be coded into those bred in axlotl tanks. As a result, the resulting organisms could be bred for certain complacency, servitude and Conservative attitudes.

  21. They’re not of course, instead they are chesspieces in a horrible political game of “Wedge the Dems” cynically played by ruthless oppotunists seeking to distract the voting masses from their real game – preserving wealth and power by pitting plebs against each other.
