Halyna defended Mariupol and Azovstal – Serhii “Volyna” Volynskyi, acting commander of 36th Separate Marine Brigade.
Halyna, a combat medic from the 36th brigade, made it her principle to only speak Ukrainian while in captivity. Russians imitated taking her for a prisoner exchange several times and then brought her back each time.

What a great story!!!
She must tell the truth about what they have done to her.
Add more crimes to the list, make them pay.
She’s been through hell and prevailed against demons but still has a smile.
Welcome home, Hero!
Welcome home, kid! Slava Ukraini!!
Welcome home soldier
Brave women.
A True Hero. I wish her the best of what freedom as a nation and people has to offer. She should be retired with Honours.
Respect to everyone who went through russian captivity and got out. The documentary that talks about being a prisoner for the Kremlin is absolute hell. Especially any foreign fighters they can catch.
