Engie estimated that I would use 63 EUR worth of electricity in ONE DAY

1. My digital meter has been far off too. first 2-3 years I payed 20-40 euro’s a month (Luminus) then corona hit and digitial meter was installed and somehow I use like 9 times more and I pay 100 euro’s a month now only for electricity. I live in a studio btw.

2. Why are we using this ridiculous system with advance payment that is estimated with some unreliable algorithm? Why can’t they just send a factuur every month that is calculated according to your factual consumption this month? With a digital meter, it can be easily automated. Also, tariffs shall be publicly available IMO

3. Had the same problem in my app on 1th January. We used 4,42€ and estimated was 120,86€. But the 2nd of Januari it was already corrected.

4. Simply tell them and they will adapt.

5. I moved into a new apartment last December, I still haven’t received an invoice from Engie. They seem totally fine with this and they just keep telling me to wait for it. Fuck em. Useless service honestly. Luckily I have a digital meter so I can at least check my actual usage.

6. I usually pay 1500-2000/month and they suggested a new amount based on their calculations of .. 5€/month !

7. I think it might be due to the electricity market rates getting recalculated between jan 1-3

8. I pay 151,93€ always for 6 months now.
   I’m rarely home. But somehow money will come when I cease contract.

9. Damn how much weed are you growing with that amount of electricity?
